Remember the Rhinos

Apr 2 2015

you’re just arriving at the Kruger, please remember to take note of the anti-poaching signage that is displayed at every entrance gate in the park and take down the number on this signage.

That’s the number to call if you spot any suspicious behaviour or activity. Through your vigilance you can be part of the greater rhino-protection community.

These signs were financed as a part of the Rhino Action Group Effort (RAGE) campaign set up to assist in the fight against the illegal rhino poaching scourge.

RAGE has funded the following in the fight against rhino poaching:
– Anti- Poaching Unit Training and equipment including night vision, bullet proof vests, two way radios, ground to air radios, backpacks, GPS’s, tactical torches, binoculars, spot lights, camo nets, sleeping bags, tents, flairs, jerry cans, first aid kits, forensic kits, road block gear.
– Under- cover investigations
– Air support
– Trackers
– Fire fighting
– Trained dogs
– Vehicle fuel and more.

RAGE was specifically designed through LeadSA and Primedia as a safe haven for public contributions, so that people can with confidence turn their anger into effective action.

Financial contributions can be made to the Rhino Action Group Effort, Standard Bank (Sandton City branch), Account number 021535744, Branch Code 018105.
